Network & Connectivity
Give every site, user and cloud service a fast, secure and monitored connection, on a network you change through configuration rather than projects.
Is this for you?
You might need this if…
Users complain that cloud applications and video calls are slow, especially at branch offices or when working from home.
Your WAN still routes all traffic through head office, and fixed-line contracts are expensive and slow to change.
Remote access relies on an ageing VPN, and you want access based on identity and device health instead.
Network equipment is reaching end of life, and only a few people really know how it is configured.
What we deliver
What it covers
LAN, WAN and SD-WAN
We design and implement local and wide-area networks, including SD-WAN that sends traffic over the best available path. Sites get reliable, direct access to cloud services and are quicker to set up and change.
Secure access service edge (SASE)
We combine networking and security in a cloud-delivered service, including zero trust network access, secure web gateway and firewall as a service. Users get the same protection and policies wherever they work.
Enterprise Wi-Fi and private 5G
We plan, survey and deploy wireless networks for offices, warehouses and industrial sites, including private 5G where Wi-Fi is not enough. Coverage and capacity are designed around how each space is actually used.
Network automation and monitoring
We automate configuration and changes, and set up monitoring that shows the health of every site and link. Problems are spotted earlier and changes are made consistently, with fewer manual errors.
Network modernisation
We assess your current network, replace end-of-life equipment and simplify the design. The result is a documented network that is easier to secure, operate and extend.
Our approach
How we work
01
Assess
A review of topology, equipment, contracts and configurations, with performance measured at key sites and against important cloud services.
02
Design
A target architecture for LAN, WAN, wireless and secure access, with options compared on performance, security and cost.
03
Roll out
A pilot site proves the design and cut-over procedure, then remaining sites follow in planned batches.
04
Operate
Monitoring, automated configuration and clear support routines keep the network healthy and easy to change.
Best practices
What we bring to every engagement
Design for cloud-first traffic
Most traffic now goes to SaaS and cloud platforms, so we route it locally and securely instead of backhauling it through a central site.
Identity before IP address
Access is granted based on who the user is and the health of their device, in line with zero trust principles.
Survey before you install
Wireless designs are based on site surveys and predictive modelling, not on placing access points by rule of thumb.
Segment to contain
Separating users, guests, IoT devices and production systems limits how far an attacker or fault can spread.
Configuration as code
Network configurations are version-controlled and deployed through automation, so every change is traceable and reversible.
Prove it on a pilot site
A pilot validates the design and the cut-over procedure before the rest of the network follows.
Outcomes
What you get
- A documented current-state network, with risks and end-of-life equipment identified
- A target network and secure-access architecture
- SD-WAN or SASE deployed site by site
- Wi-Fi or private 5G coverage designed for real use
- Monitoring and dashboards for every site and link
- Automated, version-controlled network configuration
AI-powered
Unleash the power of AI
We offer the possibility of using AI throughout this work: ready-to-use AI tools, or a customised version built for your organisation that can run inside your own infrastructure. In networking, AI learns normal traffic patterns to detect anomalies and degrading links, and pinpoints the likely cause of performance problems across sites. It can also check planned configuration changes for errors before they are applied.
Starter offer
Network Modernisation Assessment
A fixed-scope, four-week assessment that measures how your network performs today and gives you a target architecture and prioritised roadmap.
Week 1
Discover
Collection of network documentation, configurations, contracts and monitoring data, plus interviews with IT and site representatives.
Week 2
Measure
Performance, coverage and security tested at selected sites and against key cloud services.
Week 3
Design
Target architecture and options such as SD-WAN, SASE or wireless upgrades worked through with your team.
Week 4
Plan
Recommendations, migration approach and cost estimates presented, with clear next steps.
You receive
- A current-state network map with risks and end-of-life equipment
- Measured performance and coverage findings from key sites
- A target network and secure-access architecture
- A prioritised modernisation roadmap with cost estimates
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How long does an SD-WAN or SASE rollout take?
After design and a pilot, sites are typically rolled out in batches over a few weeks to several months, depending on the number of sites and existing contracts. The Network Modernisation Assessment gives you a realistic plan in about four weeks.
Can we keep our current telecom operator?
Usually, yes. SD-WAN works over a mix of connections from different operators, and we work with your existing providers. We also help you review contracts and decide whether to keep, change or combine them.
Will the rollout disrupt our sites?
Cut-overs are scheduled in agreed maintenance windows, with a tested rollback. Pilot sites prove the procedure first, so the remaining sites can move with minimal disruption.
How does Altechy deliver network projects?
Altechy is your single point of contact and coordinates network and security specialists from our partner network. We work with the equipment vendors and operators you already use, or help you select new ones based on your needs.
