Enterprise Platforms

Engineering & Manufacturing Platforms

Connect product data from design to production, so engineering changes reach the factory floor quickly and every product is built as designed.

Is this for you?

You might need this if…

Engineers and production work from different versions of the bill of materials.

Engineering changes take too long to reach production, and errors are found on the shop floor.

Your PLM or MES platform is outdated, heavily customised or reaching end of support.

Customers or regulators demand traceability from requirements to the delivered product, and you struggle to provide it.

What we deliver

What it covers

Product lifecycle management (PLM)

We implement, upgrade and support PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill and Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE. Product data, BOMs and change processes are managed in one place for engineering and beyond.

Manufacturing execution systems (MES)

We implement and integrate MES to manage work orders, production tracking, quality and genealogy on the shop floor. Production gets accurate instructions and management gets real-time visibility.

Engineering and ALM tool chains

We set up requirements, software and test management tool chains with full traceability. This supports standards such as Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 where they apply.

Integration of PLM, ERP and MES

We connect PLM, ERP and MES so BOMs, routings and changes flow consistently from design to production. The result is a digital thread with less manual re-entry and fewer errors.

AI-assisted engineering change and documentation

We apply AI to engineering change requests, impact analysis and technical documentation. Engineers spend less time searching and writing, and more on the engineering itself.

Our approach

How we work

01

Assess

Map product data flows, tools, change processes and pain points from engineering to the shop floor.

02

Design

Define the target digital thread: data ownership, BOM structures, change processes and system responsibilities.

03

Implement

Deploy or upgrade platforms and integrations in phases, often starting with one product line or plant.

04

Scale

Roll out to further sites and product lines, using lessons and templates from the first phase.

Best practices

What we bring to every engagement

One source of truth per data type

PLM owns the engineering BOM, ERP the cost and planning data, MES the as-built record — with clear handovers between them.

Manage the BOM transformation

The step from engineering BOM to manufacturing BOM is designed explicitly, because that is where many errors are introduced.

Change management is the core process

A fast, controlled engineering change process delivers more value than any individual feature.

Standards for shop-floor integration

ISA-95 and OPC UA provide a proven structure for connecting MES with enterprise systems and machines.

Pilot in one plant

A first site or product line proves the solution and creates a template before wider roll-out.

Engineers in the design team

Solutions are shaped with the engineers and operators who use them, not just the IT department.

Outcomes

What you get

  • A mapped digital thread from design to production
  • A modern, supported PLM platform with clear data ownership
  • MES functions for work orders, tracking and quality
  • Integrated PLM, ERP and MES data flows
  • Traceable requirements, test and engineering tool chains
  • A faster, controlled engineering change process

AI-powered

Unleash the power of AI

We offer the possibility of using AI throughout this work: ready-to-use AI tools, or a customised version built for your organisation that can run inside your own infrastructure. In engineering and manufacturing, AI finds similar parts and past changes, drafts impact analyses for engineering change requests and helps produce and check technical documentation and work instructions, so changes move to production faster with fewer errors.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does a PLM or MES implementation take?

It depends on scope, number of sites and data migration needs. A first phase for one product line or plant typically takes several months, with further roll-outs building on that template.

Do we need to replace our PLM to fix the problems?

Not always. Many issues come from processes, data ownership and integrations rather than the platform itself, and these can often be solved on your current system.

Can you work with our PLM vendor and automation suppliers?

Yes. Through our partner network we bring platform specialists, and as your single point of contact we coordinate with your PLM vendor, ERP partner and automation suppliers.

How do you handle security when connecting MES to the enterprise network?

Connections between production and enterprise systems are designed with network segmentation and OT security principles. Our OT security specialists can be involved from the start.
